It was for Tracfone, apparently. There’s a bit about it here, and there’s some comments from one of the people who made it discussing how they did it (it was mostly practical effects, i.e. puppetry).

It’s an old viral ad, with visual effects done by The Mill (they do the effects for Doctor Who, among other shows and movies).
