@Background Human Actually, I specifically chose the resolution to fit my monitor screen of 1680x1050. It wasn’t meant to fit any specific console at all.

Okay, so the pixels are 10x10, which puts the effective resolution of this piece at 168x105. From what I can find, the nearest resolution that saw actual use was 160x102, for the Atari Lynx. (As well as a few older systems, but since they only had 8 or 16 colors to their name, they can be ignored for our purposes.) The Lynx had a 12-bit palette–4096 colors total–which should be enough for this picture to work. The only trick is that it’s limited to 16 colors per scanline, but without going line by line it does look like it’s following that limit or at least close to it. Shave off a few pixels from the edges, get rid of the shadows on Chrysalis, and you could pass this as a real screenshot.
 
Though obviously it would be from a modern homebrew game. No developer back then would have gone to all the trouble of making this bit of loveliness for a handheld console that wasn’t the Game Boy.
