Furthermore, being a bumbling goof isn’t exactly a good character flaw. Make Flash possessive or greedy or easily prone to anger or lazy or egotistic, etc. Just one of these flaws and he will be a much better character.

I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that you actually think Flash is like Edward Cullen or the fact that she pretty much gets a crush on the “same” guy. Or the fact that she’s shown no actual crush on Flash Sentry pony beyond that scene.

Hey wait, isn’t this the guy who claims everything after season 2 was non-canon while also claiming TwiMac was canon, proving he doesn’t understand the definition of canon?

If all you idiots see is a lapse of character on part of Twilight and no character on part of Flash, you’re deliberately ignoring a lot of facts established in canon.
 
Why is it wrong for Twilight to want to find her prince? Even disregarding her ascension, she’s still Celestia’s heir to the throne. Shining Armor, her beloved brother, is captain of the guard and thusly Flash at least has a similar personality to him.
 
There’s been no character development to indicate that Twilight isn’t interested in men, nor what she’d see in a potential love interest. The two most prominent males in her life are her father and brother, and it’s not uncommon for a first crush to be a similar personality.
 
Grow up, guys. You’re bigger jerks than he is in Rainbow Rocks, and that made Twilight cry. Stop crowding the poor girl…she’s just a cartoon character.
