Feh, people won’t even call out that this scene was a massive animation error since spike ONLY has green flames. What makes you think they will pay attention to the detail that spike only ever sends scrolls?
Yeah, I’m surprised how often people tend to keep forgeting this scene when they make the obligatory “oops, Celestia’s in for a surprise” joke whenever Spike is depicted burning anything with his fire. And also when they claim he’s helpless. Heck, even his green fire was shown to be extremely hot (when he wants it to be) on the episode before this one. Its only plot that prevents stuff like “Wut? Bugbear attack? Spike, if you’d be so kind…”
