Hmmm I’d never heard of that name until today. But pretty much, yep.
I think this was more influenced by that Studio Ghibli movie Howl’s Moving Castle, which I’d guess was based on Baba Yaga.

Ah; yeah, that part was just me derping around. XD
I was trying to imagine the silliest thing that I could use to fill out the background. And some how I wound up with the idea of Scootaloo riding her rabbit house as it sprinted across the sand dunes. X3

I like the touch. They look somewhere between feet and hooves, which keeps the anatomy firmly in the middle of the scale of anthropomorphism and helps give anthro ponies their own unique identity.

Also, thanks! :D
Sort of like Baba Yaga’s hut? That’s a pretty cool idea!

Oh! That makes sense. I thought the rabbit house was part of the joke, which led me in the wrong direction.
I think it had something to do with a chicken sandwich. Although I guess it really isn’t there without context; I’ll remove the tags.
Hmmm never thought of it that way. :D
