Afaik know, it’s only the specific shade of lite pink (called pussycat on Dollyhair.com) that will fade in sunlight. Several collectors have done tests with it.

People who don’t collect will have no idea what this is about.
Still, it’s true that pink manes (and for some reason, only them) fade from pink to white after time, but photosynthesis being behind it does not sound very believable.
