short Bio: she was originally an orphan living on the street of manehatten but her dad (brier) found her one day and brought her home. she was raised by him in manehatten since then. she is attending Blue lake university on a scholarship.
Personality: Nova is a tough girl and don’t you forget it! she has been know to rebel and there are rumors that she was even kicked out of her last school. but don’t let the tough appearance fool you either. once she makes friends she will be loyal to the end (literately will break you out of jail if she had too XD). she also got a soft side but she rarely shows it accept to ponies she trust the most (not a lot of those around).

I think its pretty common in real life too. Plus, that personality type can be used for good characters
Honestly, the “jerk with a heart of gold who is super loyal and has a secret soft side but she’s still really tough and mean grrrr” personality is more commonplace in fanfiction than regrets in my heart.
I don’t think the characterization is generic. Plus, I think the skin coloured coat goes well with the other colours
