Depends on what cut. In the original, yes. In the Richard Donner cut, no. He still gets tossed against the wall and falls into the fog, but is later shown being arrested along with his goons and Luthor……don’t ask me how the police made it to the North Pole, it was the 70’s. They didn’t think about that kind of thing.
 
I actually didn’t have much of a problem with Zod’s death in MoS…but the fact that they immediately forgot about it and didn’t really communicate very well that there was no other choice just rubbed me the wrong way.
