Hey, don’t feel discouraged ! Try another website, or just post it here (and yes, I think you don’t have to put a source if you’re the artist). If you stop drawing during the time you’re banned, you might lost interest into it, so keep drawing, and I’m sure Derpibooru will enjoy your art as well. :3

I dunno about this. Derpiboo.ru tends to be pretty hateful of my art and I’m not sure if other sites would welcome me. But I’ll see.

It’s definitely allowed. There’s a number of artists who post all/some of their art only on Derpibooru. :)

I’ve actually had considerable success using this site as a primary art hub. Check my profile and even my user link goes to my own profile page. And yeah, the little Trixie badge is specifically for an artist with a user link who uploads 5+ images here and nowhere else that hit 100 or higher for upvotes.
 
All things considered it’s probably one of the better choices for a primary art hub for a pony artist since the “what you can post” rules are so much laxer here than anywhere else, and especially now that they’ve added the “this many people watch your tag” feature.

 
Recently managed to recover some old drawings I’ve done a few years back and found a really old request drawing I’ve done for this one artist I use to talk to…..Im starting to realize I make better pencil drawings then everything else .n.

Wow, cool! But again, if I want to keep uploading stuff here I’m gonna have to really improve my art skills. Just looking at the ratings on most of my newest pics makes me cringe.

Must admit, the quality of the fan art here as varied, but the good stuff is really impressively done.
 
A lot of it is down to what you draw, not how well it’s drawn, or how much work it took to produce it.
 
Just draw what you want to, and if others like it, that’s a bonus.

That’s a good way of thinking, yeah. I mean the market for pics of female Pipsqueak is pretty low apparently, as is the one for pics of Silver Spoon, Twist and Zippoorwhill.
 
I might stick to just regular ponies for a few weeks. I have a lot to work on with anthro.

Say, is there a way of browsing Featured Images by when they were awarded the featured image tag, instead of when they were uploaded?

Not really, no. There’s no sort by tag change option.
 
The site does have a public IRC channel that “live tweets” a lot of the public interactions on the site (tag changes, new images, etc). And I have an IRC client that is on 24/7 and logs everything written to that channel. So the best I could offer you is this snippet of logs of the “featured image” tag being added to pictures. It should line up pretty well with when an image was featured, but it’s not really an ideal way to browse it either: linky

You’ll get better, man. Just keep drawing. You just have to keep at it, try new things, favor ambition over success, and most of all remember it’s just a hobby and something you’re doing for yourself.

They used to update this list which showed featured images in order (though you had to browse it manually), but it hasn’t been touched for four months now.

Not sure if you guys take colorizations, but here, I did one for Ambris.  

Okay, not sure how many artists here would be interested (if any), but I’ve had an idea.  
Could call it a bit of a challenge.
 
The idea is to draw a Studio Ghibli crossover picture.
 
Anything related to that is fair game, (ponify a character, have one of the characters interacting with a Ghibli creation, or one of the pony cast in place of one of the Ghibli characters), so plenty to go at.
 
Best scoring image wins.
 
Here’s hoping I’m not the only one to try.

Every time I think of drawing EQG characters in sexy reference pictures, I feel like I’m Donald Trump with my own slogan of “Make Equestria Girls Sexy Again”.
