#4 IS VERY IMPORTANT: Since these submissions are going to be combined together, they must have transparent backgrounds. Submissions cannot have white/colored background, as such would not allow them to be placed against the background or close to other ponies. Traditional art is an exception for obvious reasons (I’ll just photoshop away the background, but won’t have time to do this for non-traditional submissions).
Finally, please be aware that due to the nature of this project, we will not be able to remove individual contributions from the finished image. Therefore, please be aware that any submissions to this image will be considered immune to takedown/deletion requests. If you are submitting an image of your OC that you did not draw yourself, please verify with the artist who drew the image that this is acceptable.

Q: How do I submit an OC to this project?
A: Just upload it to Derpibooru, and add the Derpibooru Community Collaboration tag to it. You may also post a thumbnail of your submission in this thread too, if you’d like (optional, not necessary - we’ll be collecting the submissions from the tag).
Q: I’m not an artist/I can’t draw my OC. Does that mean I’m excluded?
A: Not at all, if you’re part of Derpibooru’s community, you’re welcome to include your OC in the project, even if the picture was drawn by someone else. Though please do note who “owns” the OC in the description too!
Q: Can a submission have multiple OCs?
A: For people who have multiple OCs, we prefer that they only submit one per person. However, if you’d like to submit an image that includes OCs from multiple people (such as a group of friends hugging), that is completely welcome! (Just be sure to check with them first).
Q: I hate those submission guidelines! My OC doesn’t meet them!
A: Those are strong recommendations, but not strict requirements. If you want to submit an image that may be contradictory to them, just ask first - we can be flexible.
Q: If I submit an image of my OC, is it guaranteed to get included in the image?
A: We will try to include as many submissions as possible. However, some submissions may be rejected, including ones that:
-> Are particularly low quality
-> Appear to be made as a trolling attempt
-> Are overly obtrusive (large accessories, action poses that take up a ton of room, etc)
-> Are made using Pony Creator or any other form of image generator
-> Appear too far removed from the MLP universe (Dinosaur OCs, etc)
Q: My friend and I are both submitting images, can our characters be placed next to each other?
A: Post a request both in the images’ descriptions and in this thread, and we’ll try to accommodate all such requests. Can’t make any promises though.

As some of you may already have noticed, Derpibooru is rapidly approaching a major milestone in it’s history. January 2nd, 2017 will mark the fifth anniversary of image >>0 being posted and Derpibooru officially opening it’s doors. During that time, Derpibooru grew from a small hobbyist site with only a handful of members to being one of the largest and most active communities in the entire MLP fandom!
And of course, Derpibooru would not have made it this far without your help! Whether you’re an artist, an uploader, a commenter, or just someone who lurks around looking at all the pictures on the site, you have helped shaped Derpibooru into the site it is today.
To celebrate not only this upcoming milestone, but the contributions that everyone in this community have made, I would like to announce Derpibooru’s first Community Collaboration Project!
This collab project will be a large group photo of the community. If you ever seen one of the seasonal cast posters (for example, >>590138 and >>115861), it will be something similar to that. But instead of canon characters, it’ll be the OCs of community members.
So how do you get your OC into the group photo? Simple - just upload a picture of your OC posing for the camera (whether you drew it yourself or someone else drew it for you) to the site, tag it with the Derpibooru Community Collaboration tag, and it’s submitted. All submissions must be a minimum of 800px in height, have a transparent background, and be in either a PNG or SVG format. Please have all submissions in by December 27th, so that we have time to assemble everything together into the final picture.
The finished group photo will be posted on January 2nd, 2017, and will be set as the featured image for that day. So if you ever wanted to see your OC appear in the featured image box, this is your opportunity!

- Submissions should not have any watermark or signature covering the character.
- Characters should not be offensive in design, or otherwise be likely to intentionally cause controversy.
- Images should not be designed to have an overly negative impact on the final picture (highly pixelated, troll pictures, etc).
