Some opinions might be offensive when it goes beyond “I don’t like it”, like the majority of Star Wars fans hating on The Last Jedi. (Sure, it’s not a perfect film and it might have some flaws in storytelling and character, especially Luke Skywalker or Rose Tico. And people do have legit reasons not to like the film.)
Or most people who hate popular shows (cartoons such as Rick & Morty or Steven Universe, or anime like Naruto or Sword Art Online) because of fandoms (not to mention comparing the rabid fans to a disease or a meaning that has either changed by trolls or has a double-meaning now when it could have meant a feeling of embarassment) rather than just legit criticism and pointing out the flaws in most circumstances.
Unfortunately, people are fine with this notion. Because opinions. And people have a right to it sadly. Which makes friendship difficult when you hold your favorite stuff so dearly.

Dramatization:
Person A and Person B are friends, Person A said that he likes My Little Pony, Person B said “My Little Pony sucks because A) It’s for little babies and girls or B) It has a shitty fandom full of perverts and crazies” and then Person A is angry and decides to end his friendship instead of disagreeing naturally because his opinion goes beyond “I don’t like it.”
