Getting upset at other people using their freedom to fly a flag or wear it is just as dumb if you ask me.

I think wearing or using things with your country’s flag is tacky, not patriotic.

Every time when a see someone using the letters “ESL” i think is kinda cute. Baisically you are mocking people because they knows more than one language and is even funny to think because (assuming all these people comes from the same nation) have a huge problem with their education being successful at teaching these people how to read.

Kim Possible gets away with literally anything since it was made in the 2000s, where things that everyone finds it cliché or bad now, wasn’t bad back then.

I always thought Rocket Power was lame.

Yeah yt reviews always complain how no one talks like surfers but I guess its just a niche that many are not familiar with.

I think Kim Possible gets away with it because she’s still mature and sane. The Rocket Power kids are more of the radically cool kind that wants to announce their epicness. (Thats not a complaint of the show as much as its just their character). Kim on the other hand is naturally cool without having to prove it. If anything slang becomes cool because of Kim.

If Hasbro decides to remain in Pawtucket, maybe have Worcester be a secondary headquarters??

I’d like to see certain millionaires and billionaires (E.M. as an example of the latter) blow their fortunes and lose their ill-begotten money just so they can taste humble pie. But for now, that’s a flight of fancy.

I can vouch for that. I used to poke in & out lurking sometimes (& having the misfortune of not only posting with just as much negativity as the majority, but also having an unhinged lunatic have at me with baseless bullshit but the less said about that, the better) until one day I just stopped going there. It was the same each time & was just as depressing & tiresome. I would check a couple of times but nothing different. Like Myoozik said, it’s all about finger pointing & blaming the other side instead of actually doing something. That’s all it’s been these days. I might add the same thing can be said about activism, particularly environmental activists. That lot just love putting the blame on other people rather than actually doing something to better it like they want us to believe.

That’s exactly what they do, pushing people away rather than “helping” them. That’s pretty much the reason why I’ve been hating activists these past few years cuz they’re almost always like that. I know I shouldn’t but goddamn, it’s just so aggravating having to hear about them doing stupid shit for “reasons”.

My understanding is rocket power was a case of reality is unrealistic, where the writers actually nailed the lingo used by Californian kids in those hobbies but because other shows had less authentic versions everyone saw the realistic ones as fake,

Ever find it funny how when many shows say contemporary slang its seen as cringe and out of touch. Look at Rocket Power for instance.

But when Kim Possible says early 2000s phrases, people think its cool even today. Everyone thinks shes still a badass.

Honestly, after reading certain stories or comics trying to ‘fix’ story beats and other things from canon.
I’ve learned that most fans with an unhealthy disdain for the original story can’t write for shit especially the ones done out of of spite anyway.
Terrible artwork too but ya know opinions and all.

Yes, there’s problems, yes, some stuff sucks, but screaming in panic and flailing like a lunatic is not gonna help. The horror movie kind of guy who just gets easily startled and is useless to bring solutions into the table.

Sometimes it even pushes people away from helping you or sympathizing with you, like a Karen. Specially if, imperfect as it is, someone else found more practical solutions to the matters at hand.

Plus, the idea of political discourse in general is more about finger pointing and blaming the other side instead of actually doing something to fix things, which is why I rarely don’t talk about politics. In addition, I can just put my time and mind on things that I like and enjoy more.
