I wasn’t countering anything. He says some sex is gross, I thought all sex is gross. These statements don’t counter each-other in very much sense at all.

I hate, hate, hate how people seem to be rewriting history to erase the real reason certain tropes and media are hated.

The latter is the take I’ve seen more recently, though the former is more accurate.

“The M. Night Shyamalan movie of The Last Airbender was hated because the cast was whitewashed, the plot was poorly-paced, the acting was mediocre, the effects were atrocious, and because taking such a beloved animated movie and turning it live-action is very unlikely to work in the first place.”  
“NO, IT WAS ONLY HATED BECAUSE THE CAST WAS WHITEWASHED, IF THEY WERE RACIALLY ACCURATE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!”
