I’m going to do more research on the subject of GMOs, I’ll admit my post was a little bit stupid. I am still highly concerned about the corporate greed surrounding GMOs, and the possible safety/enviormental risks, though. Then again it is certainly possible to use GMOs as a force for good rather than greed.

My dad says that every charity organization is just a scam, and while it’s a nice thought, no money actually goes to help people  
Yes, there are scam charities, but some do actually help people
 
The fact that people donate at all to charities shows some compassion
 
I can’t stand how people think we need to only work for ourselves, and that if someone else is struggling we ignore it, or just tell ourselves they put themselves there, it’s their fault

True, but it’s no surprise that the majority of leaders/CEOs are more self-serving and uncaring than the average human being; that makes for more confidence and ambition in them to earn such titles. I want there to be more people breaking the mold, but I’m not sure if that’s ever going to happen.

Not only that, they don’t pay their workers enough for the products they produce, they always take the products that workers produce and pay the workers less than what they produced

That’s the “Just World Hypothesis”, a favorite of Evangelical Christians incidentally. The ultimate expression of attribution bias. The poor “deserve” to be poor and the rich “deserve” to be rich, never taking outside factors into consideration.

I thought civil society reinforced our egoist nature, just that we got too lazy to find alternatives, because it’s also human nature to find and stick to shortcuts as quickly as possible.

A parents worse nightmare made manifest. Having your children perish before you. It goes against nature!  
Not to mention the fact that I assume he was young in comparison to his parents if I am guessing correctly. That would make it so much worse for everyone.
