I feel sorry for all the athletes who spent decades conditioning their bodies and pouring their sweat, tears and blood into qualifying for the Olympics only to realize they could have parked their ass in front of a computer and played starcraft instead.

Again, it’s a different kind of sport, it’s just not a physical sport. There are still leagues, coaches, and teams. Again, it’s called e sports for a reason. Not Sports.

People who schedule meetings so close to quitting time far away from employees’ jackets giving them almost no time to do their work are the cancer of the company.

Well, there’s this spreading cliche of the obese loner or the cringy bag of bones playing online games from their bed and calling themselves E-Athletes, E-Celebrities and bragging about their many E-Friends or whatever makes them feel special.

I wouldnt know. I want to be a cop and spend my life protcting and serving others. Never wanted anything else. But If I wound up in mall security, I wouldnt call myself a Law enforcement officer to make myself feel better.
 
E-sports. E-athletes. I won’t begrudge anyone a payday doing something fun. But come the fuck on. They’re Gamers, playing games.

I mean yeah they are. But despite what people think, they don’t actually sit at home on their beds and play games all day.

Playing the same game over and over for hours nonstop, while being pressed for achievements and records in exchange for a pittance doesn’t sound like something fun or healthy to do.

Professional gaming is a high stress job. They destroy their bodies just like any other athlete.
 
The body is designed to move, spending all your day, having to game for a paycheck will become very painful and uncomfortable. They got to sit up and act like a professional asshole, always knee deep in the most toxic masculine version of what used to be a fun videogame.
 
They got to master their body like an actual mma fighter while mostly throwing anabolics out the window to get eaten alive by adrenaline and cortisol.
 
They don’t get the movement their body needs, they’re constantly nerve wracked and incentivized to use phyco stimulants.
 
If something sounds too good to be true it is. E gaming kills just like any other sport.

Overslept a bit and I woke up to a headache and still coughing, but at least the sniffling stopped.

You still have to get up and travel for tournaments. And contrary to belief you don’t actually spend hours in any of them.

It’s so fucking hard to talk to even people you trust about your problems  
It’s entirely possible they won’t understand it and then–Oops! You’ve just laid bare this weird-ass fucking secret about you and gain nothing out of it  
The bad feelings are coming back and the only person I feel like I can talk to about it is my therapist

There’s nothing bad about talking about your problems to a therapist instead of talking to random people about them.

Cockroach just flew right into my face while at bed and seems like it tried to enter my mouth.

Personally tho I prefer watching speedruns. It’s more fun seeing the kind of tricks people can pull off ib games and how far they can break them.
