artist:megarexetera

I’m confused about this ‘new’ artist.  
In just 3 days we got 39 pictures out of nowhere, but what puzzles me the most is that the style is quite heterogeneous:  
 
 
 
The outlines, the colors, the lightings… Everything seems to be different.
 
Maybe this “megarexetera” is just a reblogger… or worse, an art thief?  
Just asking. What do you think?

Well, I need to see 39 more!

Their style seems pretty consistent.
 
1st picture has the jagged anime line art, and hard edge coloring.
 
2nd has same line work style, soft edge coloring style.
 
3rd appears to be a 5 minute doodle with a more curved lineart style, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt there, as it is possible to have more than one style
 
I’m going to say they’re legitimate.

Each artists have their own design, and the first two pictures have very similar humanization design. The style is also the same, they just look different because of different line art style and shading (the first one used cel shading). I saw all of his stuff, his human design is very consistent, and so is the style for most of the pictures. The only difference is how much rendering he put into each picture.
 
I like this artist a lot. His style is somewhat like semehammer, but with more lesbian. Good shipping humanized artist is rare.

Keep in mind they’re Korean, ie. not part of the “western” side of the internet.
 
I’ve seen it happen pretty often that an eastern artist will create a Tumblr, DA or whatnot and dump dozens of images they may have been creating over a year or more.
 
Also look at artist:norang94; this one came out of nowhere with a few different styles and managed well over a hundred images in under a month.

Norang94 has always been more consisten to me.  
But yeah, the other big question is that: how did this artist escape from Derpibooru for so long? Not even a picture?
 
So being Korean can do that?  
Man. And it’s not like there’s a Great Firewall around them.

Him not posting it anywhere, for starters. Or just on random chans or that obscure imageboard I had to trawl through once.
 
Either way, the inking and shading does change between several images and back again, but the character style (anatomy, face and eye shapes, hair details, wrinkles and creases, etc.) are pretty consisted throughout.

There a lot of (good) artists we don’t yet have at all, people just take it granted that we do. The Korean web especially is still waiting to be mined in depth. (language barrier, but they have some habits like switching accounts/names, not tagging and bulk uploads that do not help too.)
 
There are some suspicious items on this person’s Tumblr but the above three are completely bad examples IMHO. 1 and 2 have practically identical lineart and only the finishing lightning/inking differs, nothing that’d imply that they are by different people.  
(In fact, compare all the things that are the same: the color schemes; the face shapes; the lines in Rarity’s hair and especially the curl; etc.) I could believe that diffwerent artists COLORED these, but the lineart seems the same. And the coloring/inkwork for 1 and 3 are similar too.

Oh yes. There are artists on Tumblr and DA with dozens of high quality pony work that have nothing on the booru. I keep finding more and more and I don’t upload them all to not suddenly spam the board, but “hidden” artists are very much a thing.
