Do art challenges really help?

Im about to embark on a series of art challenges to help me become a better artist. Im curious to hear some opinions on art challenges. Can and do they help?

Can you show us what you mean? That could be a bunch of different things. Im also just genuinely curious because im drop dead bored and dunno what to draw.
 
If it’s a “draw X this day” for 30 days, yeah i’d imagine it would.

Practice is always helpful.

I never did art challenges. I did contests, trades and collabs though. And having someone to look at your drawing really does help. It is always harder to create stuff for no audience or an invisible audience. Doing it for somebody makes you try harder and thus develop faster.
 
But obviously, having high goals and expectations for yourself (not so much that you’re paralized by them, but ones that make you work hard) is important also.

Anything really. The 30 day art challenge you have just mentioned sounds promising.

You a right. Its best to have an audience to push harder and improve. Incentive I think is always important.
