It really that the artist does it well what matters, not so much the actual topic.
A topic like “Octavia in a hat” which is about Octavia wearing different hats becomes amazing in the right hands.
It’s no use if I request something, because it won’t be done the way I specifically want it anyway.
Just do what you like and what you can keep up and keep good.
Cases in point:

Ask Highschool Cadance
Inconvenient Trixie
etc.
-> all amazing blogs that put a shtick to old and much used characters and make it work. There are infinite such variations.
Ask Lickety Split -> I may have indirectly inspired the guy who drew this one. But it’s kinda…It was okay, you know? But it wasn’t amazing.
It’d be unfair to complain because there is no canon Lickety Split personality and I normally am fine with anything, I’m just sorry that it could not develop into something more interesting.

Changelings of Ponyville - Four changelings are sent to inflitrate Ponyville in preparation for the Canterlot invasion. Everyone forgets about them, including telling them that the invasion is over. Hilarity ensues.
Ask Whimsey - Because stealing ideas from accomplished artists is cool now. >.> (Plus not enough SpikeXWhimsey or dragon stuff around.)
-> but you couldn’t these because I came up with these with specific plots and things in mind, so what you write wouldn’t be what I would write.
Which is appilcable to any other art blog request, really.

But I can’t ask you to do my headcanons because they aren’t your headcanons, so I think you should just draw your own headcanons, you know what I mean?
