Has anyone else noticed the he recently DNPed here?  
I beg to know why.

His tumblr appears to be gone as well. Damn.

My understanding is that he’s dealing with some personal issues.

I know!  
But his art appears to be still up on other sites such as e261 and some safe work on Bronibooru.

Presumably because they’re a lot slower to respond to take-down requests.

You think he is mad at us? The Fanbase? Or just some personal unrelated stuff?  
I’m just distraught someone as cool as him doing this sort of stuff.

Like I said, he’s dealing with some personal issues and that’s all I know. Speculating about his motives is not going to be productive, neither is assuming that this is in any way targeted at us in particular.

But even less do I want to see this as a downward trend where prominent artists safe and R34 alike start pulling stuff from this site. I fear for Derpi.  
I sorry, I’m getting a little paranoid here. I know the DNP rate has fallen dramatically since the first quarter of this year. But I’ve noticed that a number of those who do DNP have made quite a bit of contributions in the past, quality stuff.

For what it’s worth, he isn’t just DNP here. I had a quick look at a bunch of sites, and he’s on the DNP list of all of them.

I’ve been seeing some artists disappearing lately, including some R34 ones. It’s almost feels like Hasbro is sending them secret C&Ds. XD right? Eh? Bad joke.  
Funny how Zev used to be one of those artists who actually interacted with this community actively.

I doubt that’s actually the case. But it’s still frustrating when artists do this. Not wanting to make art anymore is fine, but is it really necessary to tear down everything and leave behind absolutely no trace of your existence?

Sometimes an artist can be in a situation where they feel they have no choice. I know if there was any risk of my brother finding out that I draw under this name I’d tear it all down pretty sharpish, especially if there were third-parties threatening to reveal it to him on purpose.

Well, whatever. His reasons are his own. I’m hoping he’ll come back- it has happened in the past that artists who I thought were gone forever eventually resurface… but at the same time, I’m not gonna bank on it.

…Though, I suppose I don’t have any room to complain. He’s the artist. It’s his decision.

I just hope whatever situation he’s having isn’t something… life-threatening or anything like that.
