I started this shit this week. I’m up to ep 12. I wanted to post about my thoughts on it so far, but then I realized I’d probably just get the rest of the show spoiled.

I actually don’t know anything about the plot or characters. Well, other than the Fire Nation attacking, because memes.
I’m up to ep 14 of Avatar. Is it weird that I like Zuko? I kinda hope he gets a happy end out of this. (No spoilers, please.) Also, I didn’t expect the romantic angle. Certainly not one so direct.

So you are in what Season 1. Book 1 Water.
Where Zuko is one of our main antagonists to go along with that one guy.
And Zuko grows as a character. Same goes for all three of the original cast.
Aang got better as soon as long as you ignore the GREAT DIVIDE!
Sokka got better as soon as the bad stuff happen to him.
Katara got better as soon as they run into another character.
And Iroh grows as well.
No spoilers.

I was okay with that part. I like that Aang is less like a monk who’s above everything and more like a kid trying to figure shit out. He’s quite flawed so far, but I’m okay with that.

Finished S1. Didn’t buy any of the stuff with Princess Whatshername. Didn’t buy her romance with Sokka, wasn’t sad when she died. Other than that, it’s pretty great. Looking forward to the rest.

Oh good, I’m not alone in that. I mean, she was introduced only a few episodes before. She hardly does anything, like she’s just there to give Sokka something to do. Didn’t feel anything when she died.
I like Zuko’s toughness. He could’ve easily died at multiple points towards the end there, but he’s probably also has some sort of destiny to fulfill or whatever.
Started Book 2. Sister character (Azula?) is interesting. I think I would enjoy seeing her get punched in the face.
