Probably not what you were going for, but hey, thanks for the warm, fuzzy feeling.
Anywho, it seems every now and then I see myself swallowed up in some way in reading up on foreign languages. Dead or alive, it doesn’t often matter. And a greater part of my free-time not used for drawing silly things, writing, watching Retsupurea, or being a dick to people on the internet gets swallowed up on slipping through Wikipedia’s back door to read about foreign languages.
As of recently I’ve poked about pages about Occitan, Old and Middle English, and am currently nosing about the pages based on the Manchurian language. Already I should probably get back to practicing and honing my Arabic and brushing up on my German so I can hopefully be a bit more functional with it on a conversational basis.
Because, you know, languages.
I guess in any case this is something of a thread to sit about and shout into the darkness of the lingual brothel to talk talk, and learn talk. Per chance we may get some well versed learners here to step us through our virgin steps in whatever weird language we’re gunning to learn to fill some empty void in our hearts. Or to make us attractive people.
