They’re making another Terminator movie. Pretty sure I know how to feel about that.
 
What is all this then about the new Joker movie inspiring a mass shooting eh wot?

So I saw the 1990 movie Jacob’s Ladder as part of some grade thing for my class, and I thought it was a good movie. The ending should’ve been predictable to me, but it caught me off guard in a good way. I also can’t believe that this was one of Macauley Culkin’s first movies before Home Alone.

From what I hear, apparently the FBI intercepted emails/messages from members of an incel group, who said that they where going to plan a shooting during showings of the Joker movie.
 
FBI then issued a warning to police and military personnel planning to go see the movie to be on guard in case something like that happens.

I saw Godzilla: King Of The Monsters and damn was it a fantastic movie.

So i saw Joker today.
 
It’s a very depressing movie.
 
So depressing, that apprently people in the US have actually been reported leaving theaters while it’s still going, becuase of how depressing it is.

Watch The Revenant. It’s really good, and powerful filmmaking. That comes from someone like me who is extremely picky about his movies.

Thinking it over more, Joker was ok.
 
Wasn’t worth all of the controversies, but not really worth all the hype and “Oscar worthy” praise

Just got back from seeing it myself.
 
I thought it was pretty damn good, Phoenix gave a great performance. Depressing and disturbing, yes, but also plenty of black comedy.
 
Oscar worthy? Maybe. It got a lot of praise at the film festivals, cinematography is great, and I think Phoenix at least deserves consideration.

Okay, I’m watching an old Halloween movie with Candace Cameron, Adam Shankman, Mink Stole, Jimmie Walker, and the freaking Crypt Keeper, and the biggest surprise about the movie is how damn boring it is.

Watching Easy Rider for my global cinemas class. This makes the only film I’ve ever watched for this class that I’ve seen before.

Who the Hell watches movies specifically because they’re in 3D? It’s a gimmick that’s amusing for the first 3D movie you ever see and then wears out its welcome. The amount of additional money they would have spent to make it 3D would not have exceeded the extra revenue from 3D ticket sales.

How would you feel if a film is released only in 2D only for it to flop as much as a film that has a 2D/3D/other premium gimmick theatrical release?

Proof that the moviegoing audience does not care one way or the other about 3D? When you say flop just as hard, do you mean as in equally low box office to budget ratio or as in same amount of deficit between the box office and budget?

Fun fact: what are traditionally called 2D movies are, in fact, a 3-D experience. In addition to the two spatial dimensions of the screen, the ordering of images is integral to the narrative, which adds the temporal dimension and brings the count up to three. The so-called “3D” gimmick movies are four-dimensional experiences.

Oh my god they’re making ANOTHER Terminator movie. Like with the latest Rambo movie, it’s time to roll the stone away from the old folks’ home door and let 70-year-old Arnold Swarzenegger out for a daytrip so he can make another sack of money, just like Sylvester Stallone. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I used to love those movies, but their time has passed. Long ago.
