So Twilight and God walk into a bar. [THEOLOGY WARNING]

Imagine, if you will, that at some point in the course of Twilight Sparkle’s life, she encounters God, as imagined by the modern Judeo-Christian scriptures, a being of omnipotence, omnibenevolence, and omniscience. He appears to Twilight and instructs her that the worship of friendship has become…problematic, and that he cannot permit the further use of magic or flight to solve Pony problems. He feels slighted by this ability to survive without him, and feels that the use of friendship and magic to do so diminishes all of the amazing things he has done over the centuries. To that end, he asks Twilight to dispel her friendships and turn the ponies of the world over to him, so that they may be guided properly, instead of listening to their own inherently monstrous natures. Given the way Equestria has worked thus far, and Twilight’s own experience with friendship and magic, how would this end up working out?

God’s a dick, that’s a hell of an egotistical thing to do… Granted, It wouldn’t be the first time he acted like an asshole.
 
Considering she’s friends with not one, but two physical Goddesses, and has befriended/defeated creatures of unimaginable power, I’d bet she’d tell ol’white beard to fuck himself.
 
Or, she’d use her expansive knowledge of friendship and magic to reason with the big baby and help him see past his ego.

The explanation that I always heard was that God behaved in this way - that is. an odd combination of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia - because humanity had sinned against him, but Jesus’s death let him calm the fuck down as he was apparently obligated to behave like this because man sinned against him. So apparently God can condemn an entire species based on the sins of two people because his ego is that fragile, but one death clears it all away. XD
