I personally really love the rise in acceptance of kilts at work
It’s nice to be able to wear a work skirt - pockets and everything - especially when doing stuff outside like welding or smithing.
This is a thread to civilly discuss crossdressing (Male-to-female and female-to-male). Please don’t flame or ridicule anyone. Should be an obvious rule (and it is posted as a sticky), but I just want to re-iterate it as crossdressing is a sensitive topic. I want this to be a safe place to discuss crossdressing, especially for those who may be in the closet or curious about it.
As you know, I’m quite open online about being a crossdresser, but surprisingly I don’t do it very often IRL due to living with a relative that is very socially conservative. I’m looking forward to the day where I can have a safe space to dress up and not have someone disown me over it because they believe it’s a sin against God. I don’t think anyone should be banned from wearing any kind of clothing based on their birth sex. Clothes are a meaning of expression and enjoyment, and if a man wants to put on dresses and panties or a woman wants to wear shirts, pants, and boxers, then they have the right to do so and no-one should have the authority to say otherwise unless it’s inappropriate (e.g. wearing nothing but lingerie to work).

I disagree with a. I don’t think there’s evidence that crossdressing causes gender dysphoria. I might be wrong, and you’re happy to show me a connection, but I believe dysphoria exists independent of a person’s fashion preferences.I love to crossdress and identify as genderfluid, but I don’t feel that crossdressing is turning me into a woman. My love of crossdressing has been with me since my teens, and it’ll never go away. It’s a part of me that exists regardless of my clothing choices, but it also drives me to enjoy dressing feminine. It’s not the other way around. I crossdress because I love being a female, but I didn’t become gender fluid because I started crossdressing. Instead, I discovered I was genderfluid and now happily accept it.
a) Men who crossdress can easily become very confused about their gender, role…
@Ciaran
I’ve considered it. Can I even get away with it without being Scottish though?
