Everyone keeps saying it was because it’d be too expensive to do with all the characters they’d have to use. All I have to say there is Harvey Birdman didn’t seem to have that problem.
Nothing was stopping them from ditching the cameos altogether and going in a direction like Drawn Together, they were already halfway there with the main characters. Can’t use the real characters? Use parodies.

Oh yeah, I’ve seen Samster’s videos. That’s actually who I had in mind when I was thinking “Is this guy okay?” I mean, I appreciate people are still making Go!Animate/Vyond videos as recently as this year, and as much as he pushes the creative envelope (by Go!Animate standards at least), the over-reliance on loud noises and overt sadism toward Caillou and Dora (which seems to extend to people who criticize that sadism) is concerning.
You’d think after brutal punishment days, Caillou would outright fucking run away from his family forever or rat them out to authorities outside of his city.
(Since local Cops in most Goanimate videos always seem to let Boris take Caillou even after the latter commits a felony for some reason.)

It’s not without good reason either. He’s pretty much the culmination of everything wrong with modern Spider-Man comics in a nutshell. He exists for the sole purpose of breaking Peter and MJ up for the umpteenth time, thus making Peter miserable YET AGAIN. It’s irritating to say the least, especially given that this has been going on for almost 20 years now.

Cuz my guy Paul hasn’t done anything out of malice, and is a genuinely wholesome character who had the shit luck of being written into a Spiderman story between Peter and MJ.
I am never hating on a decent soul. especially if he looks as good as Paul.
