Many Buddhist and other Indian religions still use it in fact. It’s also commonly used in Japan.
 
Also, the non-diagonal version is called a “manji”, and I believe the points of them are also reversed from a swastika.

Just finished A Hat in Time. It was really fun.  
But for some reason I feel empty and alone. I’m starting to miss Hat Kid even though I only just beat the game today.
