A hour of combined walking/speed-walk/running yielded 3.2 miles and a shitload of tiredness.

I don’t set any off myself, but in this area, everyone else around does. There are literally over a thousand massive fireworks that get launched. It’s like a dangerously up close show.

Knowing my luck I’d blow up the whole city

Our town used to ban them within city limits due to fire/safety reasons, but then some dim-witted chuckle fucks had to change the law.
 
Also, I’m not a fan of New Years, but I tend to not enjoy thing associated with winter months.

The only holiday traditions I care for are Halloween and maybe Dia de Los Muertos (mostly the candles, flowers and skulls).

That’s because these habits were once extremely useful back before we had civilisations. Now we’ve got technology and society, our brains haven’t caught up because evolution takes millions of years.
