THE DUDE TOOK DOWN TWO SHICIBUKAI, TWO MEMBERS OF CP9, AND PUNCHED A WORLD NOBLE IN THE FACE!
 
Three of the 7 Samurai. ;) And he break in and entered in all three fortresses of the world government, Enies Lobby, Impel Down and Marine Ford. Something no one has done before. One of which got destroyed because of him, (well at least indirectly) and in Impel Down he managed to organize the first mass break out of the most secure prison on the planet. In hindsight, I am actually surprised that those things only lead to a 400 million Berry bounty.  
And now he can use all three forms of Haki and is much stronger. And only has 500 Million Berry Bounty, I wonder how high it will go.

It would be too embarrassing to admit that a PIRATE from the east blue did all that. Also, he has the middle name D which is even more troublesome for the world government.

It’d be damaging to the Government’s reputation if word got out that a band of pirates saved a country while they were ineffectual. Hence why after the Alabasta incident, the world government tried to cover it up and give Smoker all the credit along with giving him the rank of Commodore (though Smoker vehemently denied it). With the Warlords, the Government had finally found a replacement for Crocodile only to discover that Moria had lost to the same person who defeated the former. They have a reputation to uphold, and if word gets out about his defeat it’d be troublesome for them to deal with.

Not really feeling CP9, it’s more like Dressrosa with the Pirate Captain ruling over a kingdom.

Not really feeling CP9, it’s more like Dressrosa with the Pirate Captain ruling over a kingdom.
 
And then Issho made sure an Alabasta kinda cover up couldn’t happen to Dressrosa.
 
And I’d say this arc is more reminiscent of Triller Bark what with the antagonist being able to animate things plus horror and fairy tales can sometimes overlap.
