Supposedly the capsule has its own abort engines, which can be used at any stage of the launch. I just hope the automated abort sensor isn’t particularly trigger-happy.
The crew was in quarantine for a good long while before the launch, correct? Because as fascinating as it would be to study the effects of COVID-19 in space, I really don’t want the peeps on the ISS catching this virus, LOL.

Looks like Vandenberg is mainly for polar orbits. Launching east from the West Coast would present some safety concerns.
Next launch window is Saturday at 3:22 PM Eastern. The weather forecast isn’t great–scattered thunderstorms. But it should still be better than today. These past couple days have been pretty crappy by Florida standards.
