You’ve got the SCOTUS rulings, the restriction of medical care for women across the USA, stuff like the largest Protestant denomination in the U.S kicking out churches that have woman pastors last month, and now enshrining a ban on women being pastors. All while they are still under federal investigation for sexual abuse after having actively repressed the actual extent of the abuse in their ranks for 2 decades.

Too many conservatives today yearn for the “good old days” when women were told what to say, what to do, and how to act. And thanks to the QANON-fetishists in the alt-right in the U.S. they’re getting elected into positions of power where they can really fuck things up for everyone else.

No wonder their top candidate for President is Donald “I have tremendous respect for women/You have to treat ’em like shit” Trump.

The Pacific Northwest is famously liberal, but only on the coast. Once you get inland, it’s MAGA country all the way to Idaho. I imagine that trend continues north of the border. Kelowna is 4 1/2 hours away from Vancouver, in what might be called “Greater Alberta.”

Bingo. Same thing with New York once you leave NYC, and to an extent SoCal once you move away from Los Angeles (only NorCal is more full-on MAGA territory).
