For all their machinations and schemes, the Republicans wouldn’t be able to pull off a conspiracy of that magnitude.

Not for lack of trying, mind you, simply a lack of competency.

Coincidentally, all of these legislative defeats in trying to overturn the results of the 2020 elections resulted in pretty much zero consequences. The whole was able to be used as a dry run of the kind of arguments that could be used the next time around, complete with “Please Try Again” participation trophies.

Now that they know there’s no risk involved, what’s stopping them from going all-in for 2024?

Yes there should, but Republicans need to be able to do this in order to win elections.

And as if to emphasize this point, Legal Eagle just did a vid on Trump suing the Department of Justice.

The TL;DR is that it’s an absurd lawsuit that will not go anywhere…unless he becomes President. And in this case he can staff the DOJ with his cronies who will not only just grant him a win in the lawsuit, it would allow him to effectively give him a blank cheque to allow him to plunder the Federal Reserves by however much he sees fit. And thanks to the SCOTUS’ ruling that Presidents are Kings, this on-its-face unconstitutional act would be completely within his powers.

So yeah, among a manifold of other things this election is about whether or not Trump can use all of your tax dollars as his own personal piggy bank.
