I get that only little girls can become ADAM harvesters, aka Little Sisters, but why aren’t there any Boy Splicers?

Young Kid Boys who are Splicers.

Yes, killing kids would be a massive no-no so why not have them as ambient non-hostile NPC’s that the player can’t harm at the least?

How would a little kid with adam in his body fend off adult splicers? they along with non little sister female children splicers were likely slaughtered early on,

And what is stopping them from having a Big Daddy like the Little Sisters? Female Big Daddies are a thing (Big Sisters), so there is no reason the other side should have a sex exclusivity.

Big sisters aren’t exactly made for the same purposes or utilizing the same resources. Daddies are dumb muscle in repurposed maintenance gear, big sisters are specialized elites fighters when they’re not out kidnapping children.

That’s because Lamb wanted them to be used more offensively than Big Daddies. I can’t imagine it being hard to alter their purpose during creation.

The lack of young splicers are simply because shooting kids would bump up the game’s rating too high. There are no doubt children still running around Rapture, but we just don’t meet them. Splicers are deranged but still have some sense about them, so no doubt they keep their kids back home.

Big Sisters aren’t really female Big Daddy’s. Big Daddy’s are brainwashed, mutated men specifically created to protect the Little Sisters. It’s an entire process. Big Sisters are simply Little Sisters who grew up. ADAM slugs, for some reason, produce the most ADAM inside adolescent girls. So when those girls grow up they stop being useful as ADAM factories but they retain the enhancements, so they are “repurposed” into Big Sisters.

I ain’t saying that none of them wouldn’t possibly be at risk of getting harmed or even outright killed by Rapture’s insane residents but they’d be far less of a priority target than other Adult Splicers or Little Sisters.

I could see Kid Splicers being used tactically by Adult Splicers to help set up ambush traps or as “tattletale scouts” when hunting down others.

Sure Splicers commonly kill one another and almost anything else that has a pulse without second thought but they’re capable of using what little brain power they have left for cooperation, if just for a little bit, to take down tougher or better armed opponents.

I almost feel bad for Halo’s needler. It’s the most unique gun in the series, and it’s been tweaked every entry, but no matter how what Bungie/343 does it just sucks.

Yep.

It’s a projectile instead of a hitscan weapon, so there’s a delay between when the needles hit. Then you need to hit enough of them, before finally waiting for them to explode.

In that time you could just shoot an enemy dead with something else.

It’s often referred to as “The Gun they don’t know what to do with but it’s too iconic to discard.” and the like.

I’ve almost done every shrine in BotW. Also, the upgraded Master Sword from the trial of the sword makes it kind of pointless to use any other weapon unless it’s recharging due it having the highest durability by far at 188, the next best weapon is 80 durability.

Like, it’s gotten one use in the entire franchise. Brutes from Halo 2.

Them having so much HP but no shields made them perfect for the needler’s death explosion. Unlike literally every other enemy it’s actually faster to kill them with a needler.

But then the rest of the series just made brutes into elites. Maybe they had a gimmick or two, but in practice they were just reskinned elites. This as always it was faster to just shoot them instead of bother with the needler.

I don’t think it’s super absurd for there to still be kid splicers around in some parts of Rapture.

That wasn’t directed at you, it was a shitty Forza title.

Now that I think of it, Splicers are the result of long-term ADAM abuse. It’s not like you down a single bottle of plasmid then whoops your skin has the texture of a melting candle.

So yeah, “youth” and “Splicer” are almost incompatible.

I used to wreck with the needler in H2 and H3 multi.

Granted, I moved like a coked out squirrel so it was more about peppering my opponent and being too erratic to be hit before they died.
