Video Game General 2: Definitive/Remastered Edition

They aren’t even waiting to see how the game does financially. They’re just getting immediately shut down. Exactly like the devs of that Alone in the Dark reboot.

If this isn’t a sign that the gaming industry needs to unionize, then I don’t know what is.

I thought Three Houses only allows the player character to have S rank supports?

Technically, but the game gives characters a S-rank ending base on who they have the highest support points with (hence why I A-rank all the pairs I want ASAP and wait until near the end for them to A-rank those I’m not pairing). Some are romantic like (Catherine, Free Knight & Shamir, Distant Archer), while others are platonic like (Shamir, Distant Archer & Cyril, Limitless Potential).

Ah, gotcha. In that case, I don’t see why they couldn’t have just let you choose who they ended up with then.

Then again, considering what you could end up doing in Fates, maybe that isn’t such a bad thing afterall…

Honestly, I agree. The GBA games had a limit of 5 supports total for a character in a playthrough, with the A rank being effectively a S rank. 3DS has unlimited support convos but only one S-rank per playthrough. Honestly, I think only FE6 (Binding Blade) and Engage has only the main lord be the only one with a ending base on who they romance and no other character in their games. Also, Fates had two gay options, as well as a gal who wants to be gay but mechanically can’t, with Three Houses being the second and better executed game with gay gays/gals (one pair you’re willing to tear apart in your playthrough). Now that I think of it, Mercedes/Annette (Blue Lions) and Hilda/Marianne (Golden Deer) are also popular gay ships in TH. I guess Black Eagles are the only ones without a popular gay pair.

If it’s any consolation, I plan on having them hook up in the Golden Deer path, if possible.

To be fair, pretty much all of the Fire Emblem protags are a bit of a blank wall.

Except for Ike. He fights for his friends.

Something I kind of hate seeing:
Non-rebindable “Press and hold [Shift] to sprint” + A very tiny stamina meter = Imminent “Do you want to turn on sticky keys?” when being chased by enemies.

Okay, now this was a cool cutscene. That’s the kind of visual subtlety I appreciate, 2 fossil-esque digimon pretending to be exhibits in a museum is just creative.

Also, by that logic, Rhea is also gay because Byleth can romance her in the Black Eagles route where you side against Edelgard. Honestly, a gay pope is more interesting than a gay warlord.

Usually stuff like that is to expensive to maintain for longer works, Blizzard has repeatedly explained that no production company on earth had the money to do feature length films at the quality level they use in their cinematics and trailers because costs don’t scale linierly,

Honestly, the more I think about the Crimson Flower route of Three Houses, the more it pisses me off.
