Searchbar for the forum

Could you maybe built in a searchbar for the forum.  
It’s getting harder and harder with each day to know which kind of Threads where already opened, and it would suck if we have double or even triple threads on this forum.

For that matter, will we see thread merging in the future?

It’s not a necro if the comment is relevant to the discussion at hand, even if the discussion is eleven days old. I too wish these forums had a simple text search function. Alas.
