Section Suggestions

So right now, there’s a section to discuss the show directly, but not much about the fandom around it, sans the fanart aspect. For example, I wanted to mention something about Double Rainboom, and realized it doesn’t fit anywhere in the forum’s current state, nor if I wanted to mention the music, other fan video, or even, although this is a different case but also relevant, something from the comics. I know you couldn’t cover all the bases with this initial release, but that just seems like a very important base to run past already.

I had a feeling comic discussion fell under Episode Discussion, but hadn’t seen any threads on it yet. Perhaps splitting those for clarity would be good, but I’m posting this thread way more about my other point than that.

I would like a way to edit posts.

I think the episode board should be expanded to include all aspects of MLP, whether they be the actual episodes, the comic, or non-art fandom aspects.
 
I also think that the general discussion board needs to be divided into a “fun” board where silly threads and games go, and a more serious discussion board.

Post editing is already in the list of features to be implemented; what we’ve got right now is a pretty barebones implementation just to get the ball rolling. More features will be added as we go.

Discussion of something like Double Rainboom would belong in General Discussion as the forum divisions currently stand. I can get behind comic discussion belonging in the Episode forum.

A serious/fun division would probably be a good idea just to get things more cohesive. We’re going to want to branch out into subforums which I don’t think our model supports right now though.

Editing posts is something that would be nice but I see that’s already been suggested.
 
How about quote blocks? You know, how forum software like VBulletin, phpBB, SMF, etc. do it with [quote][/quote].

How about actual artist galleries or such? I mean like you can still post stuff you didn’t do, but like if you draw art then you can dump it into your art gallery.

Yeah, we know what you mean, and it’s something we want to do (artist pages, artists having admin powers over images they have verified credit for, etc). Like a lot of things, takes time.

Also, why not put the number of pages in the thread on the listing? IE:
