Serial downvoter?

No, seriously, this is ridiculous. Some guy is lying in wait and -1 -s every new upload today.

Not much we can do. Just ignore them.

I noticed that too. Let them get whatever kicks they get from it, they obviously don’t have much going on in their life.

This has been going on for a long time, not just today. Might be a bot.

There are several. This one guy, for example, downvotes every “explicit” tag image uploaded. Despite that being hidden be default.
 
Same goes for several people that mass downvote certain ships or characters or artists, despite being able to filter them with a single click.

I’m just surprised that someone tries to be the first on every new image just so that he can press that ˇ button. Can you at least tell me the name of the guy?

It’s not a different thing and it’s not one guy. It’s several. Because every image uploaded sets off several of these people’s “GOTTA DOWNVOTE” triggers. There is a “core” group of about 12 people that downvote nearly every image on the site with no clear pattern, and then about 40 that downvote based on tags either filtered by default or that are popular enough to barely ever go untagged.
 
And yes, they sit there F5ing and downvote instantly, often before the image has even been processed.

When we spot someone that is very clearly just spamming the downvote button either for the lulz or with a pattern that describes a tag they could avoid (like downvoting every Chrysalis image) we’ll do a short ban with a warning and if it’s really widespread or gone on for a long time we’ll wipe the votes.
 
To give things some clarity, I’m talking about people that rack up 5k downvotes a day here, or that have 90k downvotes and 100 upvotes, and all fall under a pattern (either full tags downvoted, or nearly every image uploaded inside a certain time window).

There was a guy that was downvoting 2/3rds of the front page for the last two hours, yes. He won’t be again for a few days.

We removed that because, surprise surprise, some people loved showing off their “negative reputation”, so they just went on mass downvoting sprees.

Yeah, I had a post nagged on because I didn’t tag it right. Next thing I know everything in my gallery has a down vote. Wot…? Didn’t realize if I don’t tag every aspect of a piece with as much detail as possible that’s a huge nono.
