Why would we name both of them? (honestly a Generic Royal Guard would do as a tag for them, I like naming the royal guards except for literally the most generic guard design)
That’s just what I’ve been saying! The regular royal guards don’t need names. Only the later guardsmares who had unique designs eventually got fan names.
Though I don’t even think the tag generic royal guard is even really necessary.

I feel it is necessary as we have the blue & white typical guard (usually a pegasus) and the grey and white typical guard (usually a unicorn) ignoring the fact that they are separate characters is weird to me

I know and I feel that it’s weird but having character tags at the bare minimum is expected (example being “generic pegasus guard” “generic unicorn guard”)
