It’s not a show style Kirin but I think it’s still beautiful. This person has been drawing lovely Kirin art long before they became canon in the series.
@Soctavia
If it’s the same person as the one spamming in the other threads, it’s a fetish fanfic and picture of Twilight making Trixie gain hundreds of pounds.
@Shimmering Spectacle
I wouldn’t say foreshadowing is the correct term. That’s old fanart. Kirins have existed in Chinese mythology hundreds of years now.
@Shimmering Spectacle
I think a lot of people found about them that way. It’s nice that the show helps show off and teach people some creatures from mythology.
@mjangelvortex
Some myths I know before MLP, like the Griffin, dragon (any culture) and other movies that depicted these creatures, like Clash of the Titans, Mission Impossible 2, all of it before MLP.
@Shimmering Spectacle
Oh yes. I’ve been a big fan of dragons, griffons, hippogriffs, and kirins before getting into MLP since some of the games and anime I like have used them before. So it was really nice seeing them in this series.
@QuasarNova
Me too. I already have a Peryton OC but it would be lovely to see one for real in the show. One of the books has one but it’s not the same as seeing how it would look, move, and act in the series.
@Edhelistar
Those I didn’t know about and I’m glad that the show introduced them to me.
@Count Adramélekh Sear
Me too. I like the show’s interpretation of manticores since it’s kind of like this but with a bovine head instead.
