[Paint was cleaning the bird crap off his F-14 Tomcat as usual, when alarms went off at the base. He ran to check the radar, and Solar Empire aircraft were bound for the base. He quickly climbed into the cockpit and locked the canopy.he started the aircraft up and taxied down the run way. 20 minutes on the runway and the nose lifted into the air. in another 10 seconds, the rear of the plane lifted up. The landing gear smoothly went up. “It’s do or die,” he told himself, “Commander Luna may not know, but you’re either kicked out of service for disobeying orders, or awarded for your heroism.
