In the hyper modern age of equestria life has never been grittier or more complicated. New Canterlot floats above the old ruins of old canterlot whose ruins are only visited by the brave or stupid. Many years have passed since nuclear war ravaged the land but cities with hyper advanced tech have cropped up over the ruins of the old. New manehattan, Piston Gorge (over fillidelphia), and Wave Junction to name a few, the space between theses cities is a wasteland inhabited by few, and connected viva plasma trains, and the occasional hover barge. however, that is not all of the story. no one knows how it happened no one knows how it works, but whether it be radiation or plain magic…there are the chosen. and these chosen have powers. powers ranging from next to nothing to borderline godlike, but they come with a cost, with each power comes an ironic ritual to keep said power. (example: a pony that breathes fire has to smoke a pack of cigarettes at once after a fight or lose the power, a pony that shoots electricity has to shock themselves, a pony that summons knives, to cut themselves, etc.) and just as there are chosen. there are those who wish them captured and studied.various governments controlled by the all powerful fist of canterlot industrial, the all powerful organization that sells and manufactures everything from space lasers to bread set bounties, hunting parties formed and the chosen have been driven to the far reaches of equestria. Two groups however have formed that are friendly to the chosen that come and go, they hide and protect them. The junk reapers of the piston gorge junkyards, violent and thieves they get by by boosting hovercars and running numbers for illegal drag races, they protect chosen in exchange for help in their enterprises. and the wave gliders of wave junction, they are a peaceful group who resides in the “wave bowl” a group of air currents under the canterlot industrial district that floats just above the ruins they ride the waves on hover boards and generally get by by working in the factories of canterlot industrial, they are generally poor and mistreated and hate the very industry that hunts the chosen thus they protect them.
notes: players must choose what chosen power they have and the sacrifice that goes with it. the sacrifice must match up with how powerful the power is. (ex: weak power, easy sacrifice. strong power, hard sacrifice.) they must also choose where to start out (with the waveriders or with the junk reapers) and i have final say in what is op, ill be looking at this more as the power versus the sacrifice than the actual power, it can be anything as long as the sacrifice matches up.
