OOC: Well, something for tomorrow on this.
 
  • As they walk towards their objective they pass by a large intersection that had a skirmish recently by the looks of it. A few bodies of more reunion goons with a various wounds. One of which is a horned but otherwise human looking person dressed in, fairly decent looking rubs with black crystals of some kind poking through his skin.
     
    Along with what look like, local riot police of some kind, most bearing wounds to the joints along with, rather severe looking electrical burns, strong enough to have bored a hole through to their bodies partially melted the armor to their skin.
     
    A moment later, a roughed up but still intact radio coming up with a female sounding voice on the other end speaking with a tone not unlike a cross between a military leader addressing their men, or a preacher to their flock. *
     
    “Brothers and sister, we are making such progress, their police and even military can not contain us. The ones that so self-righteously claim to be upholding law and order, they can not stop the wrath of the oppressed that only a few weeks ago were forced to live in the shadows and edges of society.
     
    Today is the day we will show the world the infected will not simply accept the station they’ve been assigned any longer… My fellow infected, this is the start of a new age. The age of the infected, even some of those who would be fighting against us have recognized that and joined our ranks. And the events of this day, it will be the signal fire.”
     
  • The voice says before the transmission cuts off, a few moments later the magic users of the group feel a, concerningly strong pulse of energy as a building, seemingly ten stories tall judging by the height of some closer by ones and how much of the top is visible, a few blocks away is lit ablaze, a brief shimmering seen in the air around it before fire sprouts to life around it as if it were simply a giant match. *
     
    OOC: Now, as to the feel i was trying to go for there, think Hazard would have been reminded of a former boss of her’s with that little speech?
     
    Anywho it’s late so if this gets a early response im probably asleep.

  • They soon get closer to the building, the sounds of fighting already audible, the occasional gunshot, crackle of lightning or even what sounds like the distinctive, repeated whoosh of a high powered flamethrower and the resulting shouting and screaming. *

  • The white fruits in the dirt filled boxes are very soft, like a membrane around something that have the consistency of pudding. A little look at the table your friends sat on show you Anorokaya biting it to suck its content out. The knight observed her too and understood how it was supposed to be eaten.
     
    The nenuphar have little berries growing at the end of long enough stem for them to fall into the water around if they were to fully mature but since there isn’t floating in the pool it must mean the modification they had to be sterile made them stay on forever.
     
    But as you observed those plant you haven’t seen before, one of the thief you were looking for get inside. You might have missed him had it not been for the deaf knight. But his awareness had a side effect as he warned you and Anorokaya at a volume he presumed to be discrete, but totally wasn’t. *
     
    Knight: It’s one of them!
     
    Thief: What?
