As you walk the streets of Canterlot, you look around in amazement of how digital the city has become. With the introduction of the ctOS, the city has become incredibly connected to itself. Police can change traffic lights, activate barriers, and even raise bridges to aid them in apprehending criminals. With the touch of a button, they can look up information on any civilian in an instant.
The police aren’t the only ones to benefit from this, either. Bus drivers can put in requests to change traffic lights in order to speed up their routes. Incoming ferries can ask to lift bridges for them while they’re still further out than normal. Train conductors can stop and start their trains with ease. It makes you wonder how such a thing could come to be.
You get pulled from your thoughts by your phone buzzing. You pull it out and take a look at it. It seems you’ve gotten a text from a private number. Curiosity overtakes you as you open it.
@Hello, recipient. You’ve been chosen, thanks to the wonderful ctOS, to be a candidate to join the ranks of the Foxes. We are a collection of hackers, technicians, inventors, and other job descriptions working to bring down the corruption inside the government. We’ve been watching you and reading up on your ctOS profile, and we’ve deemed you a valuable addition to our ranks.
Of course, you can always decline, but just remember that we will always be watching. We can be at your destination before you are. We control the world around you, and we do not show mercy.@

Welcome to the world of Watch Dogs: Hard Wired. Set in the EQG version of Canterlot, the city is under your control with the Profiler, and with a competent team, you can overcome any obstacle. You have a choice between two “classes”: the hacker, who uses the Profiler offensively to take down their targets, or the marksman, who uses long-ranged weapons to pick off their enemies. Each class is equipped with a Profiler, a collapsible baton, and a sidearm. Team up and take down your enemies.
