I have to blame McDonald’s for bringing back a sauce that was discontinuned for 20 years (and was nothing but a limited time promotion item back then too) for Rick & Fucking Morty.

Even though you could make or get similar tasting substitutes, many of the people freaking out over the real deal were likely scalpers who saw the high demand for sauce as a golden opportunity to make a quick and easy buck. One woman who got a packet was apparently able to trade it in for a car.

Their sauce was mentioned in a show that averaged over 2 million viewers per episode in the latest season and had an extremely devoted fanbase so they seen it as an excellent opportunity to make some easy cash. They’re only screw-up was underestimating how the fans would react to them making the sauce supply incredibly scarce.

I hope one day media can add LGBTQ characters without someone complaining that it’s SJW pandering. How is that pandering? Someone please explain. Are we just to ignore that these people exist? Is it that “Think about the children!” bs? Let children come to their own damn conclusions, they only start thinking a certain way because of how they were taught growing up. If Aunt Holiday and Aunt Lofty are in a relationship this is big step for the show and another big step for children’s entertainment in general.

As nice as it would be to see more LGBT characters in kids stuff, we would unfortunately have to deal with rad anti-sjw’s, SJW’s, and homophobic countries like Turkey and Russia.
 
I mean, Russia banned the Overwatch comic that had Tracer’s girlfriend in it, even though it was only for about 1-2 pages.
 
Also, Hasbro is a big company that aslso airs MLP in said homophobic countries, so that would hurt their profits too, and would end up having MLP banned there.

I did say another big step. The more kids shows that include things like this the better. Which actually makes me angry Nick treated LoK like shit towards the end, imagine if that aired on tv?

Any of you remember a YouTuber who went by the username and variants of the user name, Rickstansatan?  
The guy was a troll, shitposter and hater who shat posted in the comment section of every Brony made video he could find. Made a video of himself smashing up a Fluttershy toy while wearing a hoodie, but called the piny “Rarity” in the title of his vid. Later made another account where he uploaded a video faking a suicide threat accusing Baronies of driving him to the edge.
 
Of course, his videos and accounts are mostly long gone by the end of 2012 when he supposedly grew out of the shit. I won’t be surprised however that some of his videos and accounts still linger on YouTube abandoned today.

Actually. It was because Russian ISPs kept blocking Derpibooru on grounds of hosting “lolicon” most of which were actually just the Mane 6 adult characters with flat chests.

Until the cultural climate improves, dealing with the first two groups is going to be inevitable sadly. As for the homophobic countries I don’t think they would ban the show if an LGBT couple just appeared unless they were extremely fanatic about it, more likely it would take them having a kiss scene for that to happen. If there isn’t a romantic scene between the two they could just change them to being very close family members in their local language dub like what happened to that one lesbian couple in Sailor Moon when it was originally dubbed in English.

And as I said it wouldn’t be that big of a step since several kids shows and cartoons from this decade have already featured LGBT characters and couples. The only significant thing about it would be the first LGBT couple from a Hasbro property. It would still be a step in the right direction nonetheless.
 
Given the state of the channel back then, if they did air the LoK finale on TV it’d probably be in a graveyard timeslot and have very few reruns. Back then Nick was treating just about every animated show that wasn’t Spongebob or a grossout obnoxious dude-bro show like shit.

Scootaloo’s aunt’s appearance was actually in the recent Ponyville Mysteries chapter book, and from what I can tell didn’t contain any romantic moments. I don’t know if the chapter books are also translated and sold in said homophobic countries, and only time will tell if the aunts make an appearance in the series proper or not.
