Palutina: They also have the Pokepager. With it, they can summon ride Pokemon to assist them. You might get Charged by Tauros, sliced by Abosl or stomped by Mudsdale. Get in close and try to keep them from summing them.

Actually, technically the 3DS & WiiU aren’t the same game. Sure they were released close together, share a few same features, and the same character roster, but technically, they both have completely different stages, some different exclusive trophies, exclusive features/game modes, (such as a streetpass mini-game, and Smash Run for 3DS) different starting characters, (Bowser Jr. is already unlocked in WiiU for example, but unlockable in 3DS) and such.
Sakurai himself even stated he considers them different games, and actually considers SSB 3DS as the fourth game, while WiiU is the fifth, meaning technically SSB Ultimate is “SSB 6.”
Also, January marks the 20th anniversary of the series, as that was the original SSB’s Japanese release month.

How is that a “troll” move? It actually makes more sense to me to consider them both different games, as I pointed out, they have different features, different graphic styles, (3DS has a slightly more cel-shaded look) exclusive game modes, and completely different levels. Plus it always felt weird to me considering both games the same thing, or calling them “SSB4.” I suppose some could argue sense they were made at the same time, they’re basically one big SSB game separated into two games, but they’re still different in some ways.
Still, it’s like saying the NES & Gameboy versions of Megaman 5 are the same games when they really aren’t.
