You cannot dump your mistakes on other people! It doesn’t matter if you have older friends. These problems are yours to handle. It’s a responsibility that you hold and you must deal with it accordingly.
If you try to share your problems with me because I’m more capable, that means you’re abusing my friendship with you. If you ask for help, it’s a different matter because then, you are sure that you can’t handle it and is willing to throw away your pride.

Childhood is the age meant for you to understand what consequences of choice is, and how to deal with it accordingly. It is the time where you learn about the world so that you can survive on your own as an adult. A child can’t think realistically and pragmatically as an adult, they aren’t nearly as physically capable either.
In a world where age blocks don’t exist… These children would die.

To argue that “All civilizations, ancient and modern have hierarchy.” is not the same as arguing civilization is hierarchy. You don’t ask why they have hierarchy in the first place. You turn correlation into causation.
