I never said I was, I just said morality is subjective. Our anti-discrimination laws are based more on the ideas of equal rights rather than morality.

Them being gay wasn’t the reason. It was the fact that serving them would violate their religions beliefs, and it goes against the free enterprise principle. The two main reasons why the decision was upheld.
 
Indeed, you don’t have to agree, and you can say screw them, but legally, that’s their right.

Ah, makes sense. I mean, religion is quite a sensitive topic after all and whether the couple had acted because of their religion or because they were homophobic, we probably will never know. Plus, trying to change someone’s mind regarding their own religion is basically a form of extreme sports except also being chased by wild dogs.

I can “understand” it because of how many people think this, but I don’t agree with it because it makes no more sense than refusing service based on race, ethnicity, or skin color. In a few decades years from now, we will likely think the same thing about refusing service based upon their sexual orientation–that it made no sense, and was discriminatory.

A product is already made and on public sale – The owner declines to sell it on the basis of the buyer’s charasterics.
 
A product is asked to be made or modified – The owner declines on the basis of his own moral convictions.
 
The difference is that the first one is directly due to discrimination and breaking a contract with the public, while the second is closer to compulsory servitude. It doesn’t matter how small the demand or the effort to do so is, the producer has no legal obligation to do anything additional for anyone. That’s the basic difference and it is a good distinction to hold.
