I think the problem in feminism when there are extremists like Peet for example, most tend to outright ignore them. Being very disingenuous to the fact they even exist until they make up the majority.
Much like with Marvel, IDW did try to cash in on that sweet, sweet identity politics and what happened? G.I.JOE a series well known for patriotism was allowed to be written by an outspoken communist that spat on fans and the franchise, only for the book to tank and for him to lose his job.
