The part he’s most right about is that the forum isn’t actually a forum, but rather different groups that have no interest in actually talking about anything as a means of trying to get others to join and instead primarily rely on “NO! YOU HAVE TO LIKE THIS! YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND YOU HAVE TO FUCKING LIEK THIS OR I’LL HOLD MY BREATH UNTIL YOU LIKE IT!”

If you want someone to watch/read/play something you like instead you should list off the things in it that the person asking about it might enjoy instead of constantly telling them why you like it. If someone has different tastes then all listing off the things you in particular enjoy about it is going to illicit a “uh huh yeah listening uh huh sure” response.
