Isn’t everyone there not still wrestling (or UFCing, maybe one daying) already in?

I mean everyone harps on about poor Koko B. Ware, but most of the actual wrestler hall of fame are pretty legit. (and Koko helped get Chris Jerico into wrestling, to that’s achievement enough)
 
Out of that list on the only definitely, positively retired person who’s not there is Benoit.

I’m also not sure what’s so bad about Jeff Jarrett. TNA was pretty important to modern day WWE, and wrestling in general, and frankly props to WWE for acknowledging that.

Wasn’t Koko one of the first black wrestlers to be treated fairly seriously when most black wrestlers were treated badly at the time, and wasn’t he a pretty big draw during the territory days as well?
 
Wasn’t Jeff pretty big in the NWA days?
 
Also he held a bunch of titles in WCW too, so that has to count.
 
Also it seems like him and WWE are on good terms now. Vince apparently phoned him when Jeff’s wife died to offer his condolences to him, and WWE has also paid for Jeff going into Rehab.

The argument against Koko appears to be he was an eternal midcarder, but frankly I’ve been arguing against the lack of respect midcarders get for years. The top guys rely on you to go them over, and Koko worked with everyone. He also seems to have been a pretty popular guy backstage. I mean Honky Tonk Man liked him, and Honky’s grumpier than the grinch.

Laughs The thing is WWE does not acknowledge TNA/Impact/Global Force on the Article xD They still avoid mentioning the Promotion except when Guys like Styles, Sting etc. talk about them on a DVD or on the Network. :o

Well… yeah. There’s very few philanthropists in publicly traded companies. That’s the point of any award ceremony, it’s all about money and publicity. (and ego) The Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame makes Dave Meltzer quite a lot of money too, I assure you.
 
And it’s kinda hard to talk about TNA when WWE can’t of course use any footage from promotions they don’t own. I’m sure it will be mentioned in his speech.
 
…I wonder who’s going to be inducting him?

I mean, the majority of the people watching would be more familiar with Jeff’s relation with Road Dogg and how he helped turn him form a mid-card jobber into one of the most popular tag teams, so it would make sense to have him be the one to induct him into the HOF.
 
Now I wonder who is going to be inducting Goldberg and the Dudley’s?

The Dudleys is a no brainer: Either Paul Heyman (even though they came into at ecw and not technically originals but shhhh), Edge and Christian or Matt and Jeff
 
Since Jeff is injured then probably the former will be the mst likely

I don’t know, are Jeff and Matt ever going to retire? They don’t seem to be thinking about it too hard.

@Philweasel I think Matt said they would do one more year in WWE then call it quits, but IDK about that, since he has just only started doing his Broken Matt gimmick, and Jeff has spent most of the year out with an injury and the fans have been missing out on him.
