I’d say that the counterparts to the Dazzlings would either be long-dead(the Dazzlings are at least a thousand years old) or their counterparts are like-wise mythical Sirens who are the same age, but Luna and Celestia are also very old but they have Human counterparts too. I like to think that Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna are the descendants of the Human world counterparts to Equestria’s Celestia and Luna.
 
Two teams of mythical Sirens joining forces would be great, though.

Sunset was at Canterlot High for at least 3 years, as she ran for Fall Formal Queen 3 times and won 3 times. I don’t think there is a way to know if she was there for longer, so 3 is the best we can gauge using actual evidence.

I actually think longer. As shown in the first movie, Shimmer has been in Canterlot High for years. As same for the Dazzlings.

Sunset emerged through the portal in the Human world at her current age and fully dressed like she is now. That’s more a case them being inaccurate. Sunset was in the Human world for 3 years.

Well keep in mind, these are also theories.I tend to use the comics at certain points.I don’t think the Dazzlings are immortal to live 1000 years on the human world, and even if so, I would think they would have been a lot more used to the world, more so than what we saw in the movie.

Not that the comics are canon, given that they literally show the Dazzlings inventing bubblegum pop instead of–you know–eating passing sailors and ravaging coastal towns…

The comics kind of are a dead giveaway.In a comic talking about Sunset when she was a student to Princess Celestia,Sunset was already fully grown,while Twilight was a filly in the comic.When Sunset left,she went into the human world.Fast forward to The first movie Sunset and twilight happen to be the same age. If Equestrian time was at the same pace as Human world time, Sunset wouldn’t be a teenager. I think when the Dazzlings were banished and went to the Human world, what was 1000 years in equestria, may have been a few months/years for the Dazzlings.

The way they looked when feeding at the start of the movie may not have been an indicator of their lifestyle, and may have simply been trying to look inconspicuous. There is no indication that Sunset Shimmer has a home, yet do not assume she is homeless. The Dazzlings seemed to be capable of mind-control even before feeding on the magic of the Rainbooms, so they could have provided for their other needs that way. I doubt Adagio, as cunning as she is, failed to create some kind of home for herself and her cohorts with the power of mind-control at their disposal.
 
It’s more of a mystery how Sunset has been living in the Human world than the Dazzlings.
 
Sorry for the wall of text, just my thoughts on the subject on vague living conditions of the EG characters.

They’re homeless, sponging off fights in fast food restaurants at the beginning of the movie. Besides, A) they may not actually have been around for 1000 years, it’s possible that there was some sort of loopy time travel involved when they were banished, and B) they appear to be teenagers, and teenagers need to be at school regularly to blend in.

They’re all ready a thousand years old, I don’t think they need to go to school. Unless they served free meals and the Dazzlings somehow have no way of supporting themselves after 1000 years.

A) The Sirens left Canterlot High for good and took refuge at Crystal Prep High.  
B) The Sirens are soon about to meet their human world counterparts, who are actually students at Crystal Prep High.
